New York, October 7, 2025 — CEOWORLD Magazine has released its annual ranking of the world’s best cities for Gen Z, spotlighting the destinations where the next generation thrives. The ranking, based on insights from over 250,000 young residents across 100 global cities, identifies the top urban hubs offering affordability, accessibility, and opportunity.

New York City takes the top spot, followed by London, Bangkok, Melbourne, and Cape Town. The top 20 cities also include emerging creative capitals like Lisbon, Chiang Mai, and Mexico City, reflecting Gen Z’s preference for diversity, inclusion, and cultural vibrancy.

“For Gen Z, city greatness is defined by participation, not prestige,” said Prof. Dr. Amarendra Bhushan Dhiraj, CEO and Editorial Director of CEOWORLD Magazine. “They value creative access, sustainability, and community — cities that empower connection and innovation.”

Survey respondents emphasized walkability, affordability, and access to culture as defining traits of an ideal city. The index measures 10 dimensions, including happiness, inclusivity, safety, and sustainability. “Cities investing in people-first design are the new magnets for talent and capital,” added Dhiraj.
