Programme Structure
Module 1: RBL810 – Research Methodology: Quantitative and Qualitative Analyses (30 ECTS)
Covers advanced research design, data collection, statistical and thematic analysis, and proposal writing. Completion and approval of a formal research proposal is required to proceed to the thesis phase. A doctoral supervisor is assigned post-approval.
Module 2: RBL820 – Scholarly Engagement I (15 ECTS)
Participation in a national or international seminar or academic event. Candidates must submit a reflection report with proof of participation.
Module 3: RBL830 – Scholarly Engagement II (15 ECTS)
Repeat of Module 2 at a different event to deepen scholarly immersion and build networks.
Module 4: VIVA920 – Viva Voce (30 ECTS)A formal oral defense of your doctoral thesis before a panel of academics and industry experts. You’ll present findings, justify methodology, and respond to critical feedback.
Module 5: DSSR980 – Doctorate Thesis (90 ECTS)
A 30,000-word applied research thesis solving a real-world challenge in your professional field. The thesis must demonstrate originality, analytical depth, and clear impact.
Entry Requirements
1. Master’s Degree – From a recognized institution (preferably related to your professional area).
2. Professional Experience – Minimum 5 years in mid to senior roles; more than 8 years preferred.
3. Evidence of Practice – Demonstrated applied work through white papers, case studies, or projects.
4. English Proficiency – Proof via IELTS/TOEFL or medium of instruction certificate.
5. References – One academic (if applicable), one professional.
6. Statement of Purpose (500 words) – Clarify your research goals, workplace context, and motivation.
